About us
The Medway Towns Bands have been performing brass band music to the highest standard all over the South East of England since 1928.
The organisation comprises of two full brass bands, and is a registered charity; all fees charged go straight back in to sustaining our success.

Brass banding is a stalwart of British folk tradition, often with its roots deeply set in working class manufacturing communities such as collieries and steelworks, and has been exported all around the world. The South East, whilst not as rich in the presence of the top bands, probably has more brass bands operating than any other region in the UK. The Medway Band is one of the best in the area.
All donations recieved from Band members or members of the public for performances go directly towards the running costs of the organisation. No officers of the organisation receive any financial payment for their services.
Please help us keep this British tradition alive and flourishing. After all, everyone loves to hear a brass band playing...
The Medway Band
The Medway Band are without question the best brass band in Kent, and one of the best in the South East of England. Many of the finest brass players in the South East travel from as far as London and Thanet to play for the band.
Vacancies: The Medway Band are always interested in hearing from Championship standard players and percussionists who may be interested in joining, or just fancy coming along to rehearsals. We are specifically looking for Percussion players.
Medway Concert Brass
Medway Concert Brass enjoy a more relaxed approach to brass banding, and are currently graded as 3rd Section in the national gradings. We enjoy performing at concerts and also contesting.
Vacancies: Medway Concert Brass in an inclusive band and welcomes enquiries from brass or percussion players of any standard who may be interested in joining or coming along to a few rehearsals.
